Business Development Associate
About the Role
You’ll help drive revenue growth by identifying opportunities, researching accounts and markets, building strong lead lists, and supporting the sales process.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential customers, partners, and decision-makers for our services
- Build and maintain high-quality lead lists with accurate company, contact, and context data
- Do account research before outreach: business model, needs, triggers, current vendors, and key pain points
- Reach out to prospects via calls, email, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp and manage follow-ups
- Qualify leads by understanding requirements, budget, timeline, decision-makers, and evaluation criteria
- Run the proposal workflow end-to-end: gather requirements, structure the response, and coordinate internal inputs
- Draft proposals, pitch decks, capability statements, and one-pagers tailored to the client and use case
- Create pricing summaries, scope outlines, timelines, and deliverables in a clean, client-ready format
- Support RFPs and inbound inquiries by preparing first drafts, compliance checklists, and final submissions
- Coordinate reviews with leadership and relevant teams to finalize pitch strategy and messaging
- Maintain a library of reusable proposal sections, case studies, templates, and pitch assets
- Track pipeline stages, proposal status, and next actions in a CRM or tracker
- Track outcomes: win/loss reasons, turnaround time, conversion rates, and improvement areas
- Share market feedback, competitor positioning, and pricing insights with the team
- Support existing customers with renewals, upsells, repeat business, and referral-led proposals
Requirements
- Strong writing and document structuring skills
- Strong internet research skills and attention to detail
- Ability to understand requirements and translate them into clear scope and deliverables
- Strong follow-up discipline and ability to manage multiple parallel proposals
- Comfort with spreadsheets and structured tracking
- Professional communication and confidence in client interactions
Nice to Haves
- Experience writing proposals, RFP responses, or sales decks
- Familiarity with tools like Google Docs, PowerPoint, Notion, Canva, and basic formatting best practices
- Exposure to CRMs like Zoho, HubSpot, or any pipeline tool
- Understanding of basic pricing, margins, and project timelines
- Experience in B2B services, hospitality, or local business sales
- Ability to improve templates, build reusable assets, and streamline proposal workflows
Qualifications
- Graduate in any field
- Minimal experience required, 0 to 2 years in sales or business development preferred
Compensation
- Salary
- ₹1,80,000 – ₹3,00,000 per annum
- Performance Bonus
- Up to ₹1,50,000
