System Administrator

About the Role

You will manage and maintain the organization’s systems, network environment, user access, and core IT infrastructure. This role requires strong technical ownership, reliability, and the ability to prevent issues while also handling production support when needed.

Responsibilities

• Administer servers, user accounts, access controls, and system configurations
• Manage network infrastructure
• Monitor system performance, uptime, and security status across environments
• Handle backups, recovery procedures, and system maintenance schedules
• Manage endpoint policies, patching, antivirus, and basic security controls
• Set up and maintain email, file sharing, and internal IT services
• Troubleshoot escalated issues across systems, network, and user access
• Maintain system documentation, configurations, and change logs
• Coordinate with vendors, cloud providers, and IT service partners
• Support IT planning for upgrades, scaling, and infrastructure improvements

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of system administration, networking, and access management
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 admin, Google Workspace admin, or identity tools
• Good understanding of backups, monitoring, security hygiene, and patch management
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across systems and network layers
• Strong documentation and process discipline
• Ability to work independently and handle critical IT issues with ownership

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Linux server administration
• Knowledge of virtualization, NAS, or on-prem server setups
• Exposure to cloud platforms and hybrid IT environments
• Understanding of firewall rules, VPNs, and endpoint management tools

Qualifications

• Any experience in system administration or infrastructure support
• Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred but not mandatory
• Practical experience managing production systems is strongly preferred
